The Asian Squash Federation (ASF) is delighted to announce the one-off trial inclusion of the Australian Junior Open (AJO) in the 2026 Asian Junior Super Series (AJSS) as a Silver status event (ZONE A).
The 2026 Australian Junior Open will take place at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC) from 12–16 April 2026. The five-day event will welcome players from across Asia and beyond to compete.
ASF President Honorable Duncan Chiu expressed his enthusiasm for this new partnership, stating:
“The Asian Squash Federation is proud to support the Australian Junior Open 2026 as a one-off trial event that showcases the vibrancy and global reach of squash. Initiatives like this play a vital role in highlighting the broader development of our beloved sport in Australia and demonstrating squash’s readiness for inclusion in the Olympic Games.”
He added:
“We commend Squash Australia’s commitment to elevating the sport on the road to Brisbane 2032, and we strongly encourage all junior players across Asia and beyond to take part in this exciting event and be part of Squash’s Olympic journey.”
