HONG KONG PLAYERS CLAIM VICTORY AT THE 23RD ASIAN INDIVIDUAL SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025 IN MALAYSIA

The 23rd Asian Individual Squash Championships wrapped up on 21 June 2025 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, with spectacular performances showcased from the best of Asian squash players.

In the Men's Individual event, Lau Tsz Kwan from Hong Kong, China, achieved a remarkable milestone by securing his first championship title after a close 3-0 victory against Abdulla Al-Tamimi from Qatar in the final. 

On the women’s side, Ho Tze Lok from Hong Kong, China, also celebrated her first championship title by defeating Rachel Arnold from Malaysia with a 3-1 victory in the final. This victory marks a milestone for Team Hong Kong, China as they made history by winning both Men’s and Women’s title simultaneously.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners for their outstanding performances throughout the tournament. We also express our gratitude to all participating countries/ regions for their support in this championships. A special thank goes to the Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia and officials, for hosting this remarkable event and contributing in its success.

2nd Runner-up – Velavan Senthilkumar (India) & Henry Leung (Hong Kong, China)

Women’s Individual Championship
