INDIA SWEEPS TITLES AT THE 2ND ASIAN SQUASH DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025

Following the 23rd Asian Individual Squash Championships, the 2nd Asian Squash Doubles Championships has come to a successful conclusion on 26 June 2025, in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, with outstanding performances from the Indian teams.

 

In the Men's Doubles final, the defending champion Abhay Singh and Velavan Senthilkumar from India successfully retained their title, defeating Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal from Pakistan by 2-1 with a display of exceptional skill and teamwork.

 

The Women's Doubles title was claimed by the Indian duo of Joshna Chinappa and Anahat Singh, who showcased remarkable talent and determination to secure their victory against the home pair Ainaa Amani and Yee Xin Ying with a thrilling 2-1 game in the final. 

 

In the Mixed Doubles final, the 19th Asian Games Mixed Doubles Bronze medalists, Abhay Singh and Anahat Singh triumphed, combining their skills and experience to capture the championship title by defeating Ameeshenraj Chandaran and Rachel Arnold from Malaysia in straight games. 

 

We would like to congratulate all the winners who displayed exceptional skills and sportsmanship throughout the championships. We also commend the support of all participating nations for their enthusiastic participation. Furthermore, we extend our deep appreciation to all the officials and the host, Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia, who made the Championships a successful and wonderful event.
